Viper ICW Level III+ (RF2) In-conjunction Plate
The Viper ICW insert plate is a level III+ (Rf2) polyethylene and ceramic plate tested in accordance to the ballistic threats of NIJ 0101.07 when worn in-conjunction with United Shield International certified level II or IIIA armor. The Viper plate is engineered to defeat select special threat ammunition while maintaining a thin, streamlined profile suitable for both tactical and patrol applications This multi curve plates ergonomic design, using proven technology, affords the wearers excellent Multi Hit In-conjunction protection against the following ammunition:
– 7.62 x 51mm 149gr FMJ (M80)
– 7.62 x 39mm 123gr PS ball (mild steel core)
– 5.56 x 45mm 62gr M855 (Green Tip)
– 5.56 x 45mm 55gr FMJ (M193)
The Viper plate is also tested as a Stand Alone Special Threat Plate, defeating the 5.56×45 and 7.62×39 projectiles without the need of level II or IIIA armor.
